We partnered with the Givaudan Foundation and UNHCR to hold soap-making and fragrance training workshops for women living in Za’atari Refugee Camp. The goal of the Supporting Creative Entrepreneurship (SCENT) project was to build entrepreneurial skills and enable women to develop small, sustainable businesses to improve their livelihoods, while also encouraging hygiene practices.

We provided materials and Givaudan staff conducted workshops at the Made in Za’atari Center to introduce women to different production techniques. Our team complemented these trainings with business courses to help participants promote and sell their products. Participants conducted community initiatives at Za’atari Camp to mark Global Handwashing Day by promoting proper hygiene and handwashing.
